Hecate — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026  ·  App: com.hecate.tarot

Short version: Hecate collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It is a fully offline app. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting.

What Hecate stores, and where

Everything below is written only to your device's local app storage (AsyncStorage). It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

• Your preferences — colour theme, card-art set, language, journal retention, and your notification choices.
• Spreads you create — their names, position labels, and layout.
• Your journal — the readings you save: the cards drawn, their orientation, the date, an optional question, and any free-text note you choose to write.
• Your Daily Draw — one card a day and a streak count.
• Your birth date, only if you enter it for the birth & year cards (Full Version). You can delete it there at any time.

All of it, including your journal, is excluded from Android cloud backup, so no copy is ever stored online. When you set up a new phone and choose to copy apps and data from your old one, Android can move it directly from the old phone to the new one. That transfer happens only between your own devices; nothing is sent to us or stored on a server.

Notifications

Optional reminders — a Daily Draw nudge, and (with the Full Version) Full/New Moon and planetary-retrograde alerts — are calculated on your device and scheduled locally by Android. No push service is used. Nothing about them is transmitted.

The optional "Full Version" purchase

Hecate offers one optional one-time purchase that unlocks extra colour themes, the custom spread builder, the daily Sky readings, Journal Insights, and the moon/retrograde alerts.

The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under its own privacy policy; Hecate never sees your payment details. The app receives only a purchase token, checks it with Google Play, and stores a single yes/no flag on your device. Nothing about the purchase is sent anywhere by the app, and there is still no account.

What Hecate does not do

• No data is collected or shared. There is no data-collection SDK of any kind in the app.
• The app makes no network requests of its own. Card artwork and fonts are bundled inside it; the Sky positions are computed on the device from public astronomical formulae.
• No location, contacts, microphone, camera, photos, calendar, or device identifiers are accessed.
• No advertising, no tracking.

Android permissions

• INTERNET is present only because the framework's image library declares it — the app opens no connections.
• The Billing permission is for the Google Play purchase above.
• The notification permissions are for the optional local reminders.
• VIBRATE is used for the small haptic taps when you draw or turn a card.

Children

Hecate is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes and the new version is published at this URL.

Hecate — Datenschutzerklärung

Zuletzt aktualisiert: 1. Oktober 2026

Kurzfassung: Hecate erhebt nichts und sendet nichts irgendwohin. Es ist eine vollständig offline arbeitende App. Es gibt kein Konto, keine Anmeldung, keinen Server, keine Analyse, keine Werbung und kein Absturz-Reporting.

Was Hecate speichert – und wo

Was Hecate nicht tut

• Keine Werbung, kein Tracking.

Android-Berechtigungen
